TROY WINGARD

Large-Scale Pastel Drawings

My pastel paintings and drawings address questions centering on individualism and the shared experiences of others. I have always been interested in the spirituality of art and how it is related to the inward revelations of the modern individual. It has been my attempt to understand and capture the subtle expressiveness of the human figure and reinforce that image with my own symbolic interpretations, for creating not just an accurate representation of form, but an artifact that radiates with the understanding of how important and unique these experiences are to me.
